On September 30, the spy drama "No Limit to Espionage" directed by Zhang Kaizhou, written by Xu Ruoxin and Gong Qi, and starring Xiao Zhan and Zhou Yutong, was officially wrapped up.

Xiao Zhan, who plays underground Party member Ren Shaobai, released a short post about wrapping up filming: "The weather is getting cooler, and the neon lights outside the window are still stained with the mist of Jinling City. I gather all my thoughts and prepare to go out. They all laugh at me for being 'aware of the times,' but I know that what I'm guarding is never the glory of the present, but a future where millions of people can speak with their backs straight. Thinking back to the streets I walked alone every night, the streetlights stretching my shadows so long that it feels like someone is accompanying me. The intelligence in my hands seems to have become a little hot from being grasped. Let's walk a little further in the dark night, and the light in the sky is ushering in a new chapter."

Co-produced by Noon Sunshine and Youku, the drama is adapted from Sang Zhizhi's novel of the same name. Set in Nanjing in 1948, it tells the story of Ren Shaobai (Xiao Zhan), an underground Party member lurking within the Ministry of National Defense. After his single contact is killed, he goes into hiding for years. He then risks using a radio station to save his intelligence network. Leveraging a case of military pay embezzlement, he connects with new recruit Peng Yongcheng (Gu Zhixin), gradually becoming a close confidant of the Director of the Intelligence Department. Qiao Mingyu's widow, Lan Youyin (Zhou Yutong), a mathematical prodigy, secretly plots the assassination of a Military Control Commission officer, and her relationship with Ren Shaobai shifts from hostility to collaboration. The drama incorporates historical events such as currency reform and the Huaihai Campaign, showcasing the struggles of underground agents on the covert front.
