    Tony Leung wins Golden Lion Award for Lifetime Achievement at Venice Film Festival

    On March 27 local time, the organizing committee of the Venice Film Festival announced that Tony Leung and Italian female director Liliana Cavani won the Golden Lion Award for Lifetime Achievement. Liliana Cavani has directed films such as "Galileo" and "Night Gatekeeper".

    Venice Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, and Berlin Film Festival are known as the world's three major international film festivals. Tony Leung is the first Chinese actor to win this award.

    In 1983, Tony Leung graduated from the Hong Kong TVB artist training class, and then entered the entertainment industry. He has shot more than 80 movies and won numerous awards. This year marks the 40th anniversary of Tony Leung's debut.

    When Tony Leung received the news, he expressed his great honor: "I hope to celebrate this award with all the filmmakers I have worked with, and this award is also a tribute to all of them."

    Tony Leung has starred in three films that won the Golden Lion Award at the Venice International Film Festival: "A City of Sadness", "Tricycle Driver" and "Lust | Caution".
