During the discussion session at the screening, Jin Chengmin, curator of the Museum of Evidence of Crimes Committed by Unit 731 of the Japanese Imperial Army, pointed out that the overall narrative framework of the drama is highly consistent with the true history of Unit 731, reflecting the creative team's reverence for history. The historical details are solid and the historical scenes are accurate. It is a powerful "revitalization" of the evidence of the inhumane atrocities committed by Unit 731 of the Japanese Imperial Army, and has great historical dissemination and practical educational significance.
Gao Changli, vice president of the China Federation of Radio and Television Social Organizations, believes that the drama closely follows the two keywords of "truth and reality" and, through a creative model that combines top-down and bottom-up approaches, has successfully balanced historical truth and artistic truth, serving as a warning to the world against the revival of Japanese militarism. It is a masterpiece that combines ideological, artistic, and educational value.
Furthermore, Yi Kai, Secretary-General of the China Television Arts Committee, also stated at the meeting that the drama innovatively and effectively portrays the brutality of the Japanese invaders, the kindness and tenacious resistance of the Chinese people, and the pivotal role of the Communist Party of China, making its broadcast at this specific time significant. The meeting pointed out that "Atrocities Against Humanity" is a key television drama commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, and is also a 2025 special fund project for guiding and supporting television dramas from the State Administration of Radio and Television. The entire drama comprehensively and profoundly depicts the cruel human experiments and inhumane atrocities committed by Unit 731 of the Japanese Army during the invasion of China, criticizing the systemic evils of Japanese militarism. With accurate historical facts, it possesses strong historical educational significance and international dissemination value.
