On the evening of September 25, the sci-fi blockbuster "Avatar: Fire and Ash" produced by Disney's 20th Century Fox and created by James Cameron was confirmed to be introduced to mainland China for release, with the specific date to be determined; at the same time, a new Chinese subtitled trailer was also unveiled.
Avatar 3: Fire and Embers is slated for a December 19th North American release, and the trailer itself mentions a December release date, suggesting the film's release in China will likely coincide with the North American release date. Besides the domestic release date, the film's running time has yet to be finalized. Cameron previously stated, "Fire and Embers will be slightly longer than The Way of Water," which clocks in at 3 hours and 12 minutes.

The first official trailer, released in July, already revealed two new tribes in Avatar 3: the nomadic Wind Caravan, who pilot hot air balloon-like craft, and the Ash Clan, who wear black, white, and red warbands. The latest trailer reveals even more: The Ash Clan leader, Valan, resents the loss of her people in a volcanic eruption and the lack of protection from the goddess Ava, and joins forces with the evil Colonel Miles Quaritch. She also captures the Spider and, by chance, discovers that the human Spider can function without a respirator on Pandora. This leads Jake Sully and Neytiri to worry that this could allow humans to launch a massive invasion. As expected, the Na'vi soon face a fierce battle with humans and the Ash Clan, led by Valan.
In Avatar 3, actors from the first two films, including Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Jack Champion, David Thewlis, and Kate Winslet, will also return. The new villain Varang is played by Oona Chaplin, the granddaughter of comedy master Charlie Chaplin.

The original "Avatar," released in 2009, became the highest-grossing film in history with a global box office of $2.9 billion. The 2022 sequel, "Avatar: The Way of Water," took in $2.3 billion and ranked third. The box office performance of "Avatar 3," which is set to be released in December, is also highly anticipated.

Cameron reportedly plans to ultimately film five "Avatar" films. He previously revealed that most of the scenes for the later installments have already been shot. Currently, "Avatar 4" is tentatively scheduled for release on December 21, 2029, and "Avatar 5" is tentatively scheduled for December 19, 2031. Furthermore, in a July interview with Empire magazine, Cameron expressed inspiration from "The Matrix" and expressed his hope to create an animated "Avatar" in the future, continuing the story of Pandora.
