First of all, as a top star, I think there is nothing wrong with his image. More importantly, he is very rigorous and meticulous in his work. He makes me feel that I must be more serious. In the play, he has a lot of lines, and many of them cannot be wrong in a single word, such as lines with professional terms such as geomancy, and how to read and how to break the sentences must be considered, because people are rarely exposed to such content nowadays.
When we were acting together, it was rare to see someone prompting him. He always held the script in his left hand and a pen in his right hand, constantly revising it. The director would often modify or delete the lines on the spot. What actors fear most is that I have memorized the lines, but they have to modify them on the spot. It is very frustrating, but Xiao Zhan has never complained.
