On February 19th, the theme of rural revitalization, "Lives from the Land - Photography Exhibition of Documentary "Above the Fields" held a grand opening ceremony at the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai.

The documentary "Above the Field" is jointly produced by the International Communication Development Center of the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration, Tencent Video, Shanghai Radio and Television Station, Fujian Radio, Film and Television Group, and Learning Publishing House. The works in this photography exhibition are all taken by the film crew of the documentary "Above the Fields" when they drove hundreds of thousands of miles and visited 100 villages in China. From agriculture, industry, ecology, people's livelihood, rural customs and returning home The six perspectives of talents present the historical footprints of the changes and development of China's rural areas.

The photos in the photography exhibition were carefully processed by the film crew, printed and framed on the spot and sent to the subjects. It was not only a thank you gift, but also a tribute to these ordinary but great ordinary people.

On the opening day, the protagonists in the photography works also came to the scene from all over the country. After a few months, from the photos in the square inch, recalling the fulfilling year in the past, there are joys and emotions. They walked from the countryside to the city, and rediscovered their hometown in the space of art.

In the photography exhibition, there are not only precious documentary photography works, but also related objects and interesting art installations, allowing everyone to fully and immersively appreciate the people, events and things about the fields and mountains in China's vast land. Through these photos that freeze the moment of emotional flow, the countryside with different styles transcends the constraints of time and space, allowing people in Shanghai to feel its unique and vivid existence.

"This film is the first attempt to combine internal and external observations, presenting real observations and self-reflection completely and unreservedly in the program and today's photo exhibition. This will also be an innovative case of global dissemination of Chinese stories." Tencent Online Zhu Lexian, head of Obsidian Studio, the content production department of the video program, said in his speech.

The countryside is an important support for human survival, the root and carrier of traditional Chinese culture, and has irreplaceable value in the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. If you want to understand the operation logic of Chinese villages, you can only have the right to speak if you are in it and take root in practice.

This photography exhibition fully embodies the theme and narrative context of the documentary "Above the Fields". The documentary is in post-production and is expected to be broadcast on Dragon TV, Southeast TV, Tencent Video and other TV and Internet platforms in the first half of this year.
