The live broadcast of "Singer" has triggered rounds of discussions on the singers' professionalism and personal musical qualities, which seems to have opened up the Ren and Du meridians of the music industry. Is the industry reshuffle really coming?
On September 8th, the launch conference for "Sounds of Voices 2025," a talent show aimed at discovering outstanding singing talent, was held in Beijing. The competition covers six major regions: North China, East China, South China, Northeast China, Central China/Southwest China/Northwest China, and online, encompassing 38 cities, 37 professional troupes, and 86 art colleges and universities. Hunan Broadcasting and Television's Hunan Satellite TV and Mango TV, along with provincial satellite TV stations in Beijing and Jiangsu, and Tencent Video, across eight platforms, are collaborating on social media platforms like Douyin and Xiaohongshu to create this new music brand.

The competition is divided into three phases: the sea search, the preliminaries, and the finals. The preliminaries will be recorded in batches across the six major regions from October 4th to 12th. The finals will feature 12 live broadcasts every Sunday evening during prime time, beginning November 9th.
The selection of contestants is based on a core criterion of "musical assessment + quality evaluation," with diverse tracks including folk, bel canto, and pop. Through a combination of professional judging and public participation, the program aims to identify a new generation of musical talent with both strength, character, and accomplishment. Notably, "Sounds of Faraway 2025" will utilize cutting-edge technologies such as 4K ultra-high-definition production and broadcasting, and will feature live performances to showcase both expressive performance and an immersive experience.
