    "Tibet Daily" WeChat official account reported on May 8 that the famous Tibetan director Wanma Caidan died of a heart attack at the age of 54.

    Wanma Caidan, born in Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai in 1969, is a famous Chinese director, screenwriter, writer and producer. In 1991, Wanma Caidan began to publish literary works. His main collections include "Killed a Sheep", "Talow", "Ugin's Teeth", "The Story Is Only Half Told" and so on. Since 2002, he has been working as a film director. His major film works include "Quiet Mani Stone", "Looking for Zhimei Gendeng", "Old Dog", "Talow", "Killed a Sheep", "Balloon", etc. His works have won Italian awards. Best Screenplay Award at Venice International Film Festival, Best Film Award at Brooklyn International Film Festival, Best Adapted Screenplay Award at Taiwan Golden Horse Awards, Jury Award at Shanghai International Film Festival, Best Small and Medium Cost Film Award at China Film Golden Rooster Festival, Chinese film Dozens of domestic and foreign film awards including the Media Award for Best Director.
